Family Connection is the Religious School Committee of Congregation Ner Tamid. It meets once each month during the school year, and fosters communication between parents/grandparents, staff, the Education Director, Clergy, and the CNT Board of Trustees. The purpose of Family Connection is to foster relationships and communication among families while supporting religious education. Over the years, Family Connection members have suggested several programming changes to the Rabbi and staff, resulting in programming such as the B'Yachad Shabbat Dinners and youth groups beginning at an earlier age (IBN).
Family Connection also helps raise funds for the Religious School, and involves parents and grandparents in volunteering for the school and temple. Family Connection plans and organizes the annual Purim Carnival, our major fundraiser for the Religious School. The Purim Carnival is always fun, exciting and full of activities for families and children of all ages. All proceeds from the Purim Carnival help supplement the Religious School tuition fees for families in need.
Look for the schedule of Family Connection meetings in the Religious School handbook distributed at the beginning of each school year.
