“Delve into it and continue to delve into it, for everything is in it.” (Pirkei Avot 5:26)
Welcome to Congregation Ner Tamid’s Religious School. The goal of our program is to give students the tools to live Jewishly and develop personal connections to Judaism beyond the classroom. “To be Jewish involves activity and interaction. It shapes how one thinks of oneself; more important, it is a way of being.”
Life is a laboratory; we are always experimenting, making mistakes and trying again. Our Jewish lives are no different. This year our CNT Religious School will become our personal laboratory for Jewish living. Our dynamic curriculum will give each student the chance to make meaning out of life. Together, teachers, staff, parents, and students enable one another to make it your own, to take something and add a dimension that is valuable to the individual, a deeper understanding of something.
We chant in the V’ahavta, “And you shall teach them diligently unto your children…” Our religious school staff is ready to teach, learn, play, and experience all that Judaism has to offer with your children.
To a great year!
Description of the Tribe
The Tribe reflects the core value of Judaism…Jewish identity. We want our students to feel a sense of distinctiveness because they are Jewish. We want them to know and feel how special they are, how proud they should be, and how one person can make a difference in the world. The Tribe is uniquely us in a world where assimilation and fitting in are ever present.

TNT is open to all sixth, seventh and eighth grade students at CNT. TNT means Teens of Ner Tamid. This group likes to be active! We go on outings and also help with making and baking Hamentaschen for sale at Purim Carnival. Last year we went on a great Sukkah Hop in the area and jumped and climbed at Rock N Jump. The students loved the Minute to Win It Party that ended our year. We are always open to student suggestions about what they would like to do. Our events are on Sundays right after Religious school and take place once a month. Membership for TNT is also included with your Religious School registration. Some small fees for supplies and lunch are charged. Keep those friendships strong and join in on all the fantastic fun!
IBN stands for Itty Bitty Ntty. This is our youngest youth group at CNT. IBN is open to all third, fourth and fifth grade students. Monthly events are planned for this group. Most activities are onsite and take place right after Religious School. We also do an occasional event off site. Last year we made chocolate lollipops and Hamentashen, painted ceramic Passover plates and cups, visited Rock N Jump for a great Chanukah party and ended the year with a Minute to Win It celebration. Membership for IBN is included with your Religious School registration. Some events have small fees to cover supplies, lunch or fee costs. Join us for fun, friendship and fabulous times.
